Chapter 8
Bored na bored si Julie sa klase at nilalaro na lang ang ballpen niya habang hinihintay ang teacher nila.
“Ok class settle down I have an announcement.” sabi ng guro nila at nilagay ang mga gamit sa table nito. Tumalima naman ang kanyang mga kaklase at bumalik sa mga kanya-kanyang mga upuan. Her teacher first cleared his throat then, “Ok, My announcement is about the Ball comi—-“ natigil ang pag announce ng guro nila dahil nagbulung-bulongan na ang mga kaklase niya. Pero maya maya tumigil naman ang mga ito pahiwatig na pinapatuloy ang pag announce ng guro nila.
“Finished? Now as I’ve said earlier we will talk about the coming Ball ofcourse you already knew what are the do’s and don’ts right? Ofcourse, dapat may escort rin kayo so as fast as possible you must find your partner para sa Ball.” Natigilan siya, Oo nga ‘no dapat palang may escort para hindi ako magmukhang tanga sa ball pero sino?
Wala sa loob na palakad-lakad lang si Julie sa hallway patungo sa canteen nila sa kaiisip kung sino ang partner niya kasi kabe-break lang nila ni Sam. Natigilan siya sa paglakad niya at biglang naisip si Elmo, bakit naman hindi? Diba “BOYFRIEND” ko siya? Pero parang kakahiya naman na ako ang unang magtanong sa kanya. Dalagang-pilipina naman siya.
Pagpasok niya sa canteen may nahagip ng kanyang mata na may kumakaway sa kanya, si Elmo pala `yon. Parang kumiliti naman ang kanyang puso.
“Hey, parang ang lalim ng iniisip mo kanina ahh” pukaw sa kanya ni Elmo.
“Ahhh, ehhh. Oo. Nag iisip kasi ako para sa Ball eh.” Nagtungo si Julie sa counter.
“Anong problema?”
“Eh kasi.” Um-order muna siya ng pagkain pagkatapos humanap ng vacant seat.
“Here. Have a seat” alok ni Elmo kay Julie.
“Thanks.” Kumagat muna si Julie ng sandwich at magsasalita sana ng biglang may pinahid si Elmo sa gilid ng labi niya at sinipsip ang daliri nito. Natigilan siya doon dahil sa shock at sa sudden reaction ng puso niya. Alam niyang namumula na ang pisngi niya kaya yumuko na lang siya para mabawasan naman kahit kunti ang pagkailang niya.
“Ahh. Sorry. May mayonnaise ka kasi at you know save mother earth?” ngumisi ng nakakaloko si Elmo at binuntutan ng tawa nakitawa rin naman siya. “So, back to the topic. What’s the problem?”
“W-wala kasi akong partner eh.” At kinagat nanaman niya ang sandwich, carefully. Baka kasi ma heart attack pa siya sa susunod.
“Oh, so that’s your problem,eh” ani Elmo with matching na pahimas-himas sa baba na parang may bigote.
“You talked like an old man.” Julie, rolling her eyes.
“Hahahaha, madali lang ma-solve iyan kasing dali ng one plus one.”
“Then what?”
“Eh tayo na lang kaya mag partner sa Ball. It is just like hitting two birds in one stone. Mapapaselos pa natin sina Sam at Lauren case closed naman iyong problem mo” Then Elmo sipped his drink calmly.
“Ayos lang sa iyo?” tanong ni Julie
“Oo naman, with pleasure pa.”
Nagkukwentuhan ng kung ano-ano pa sila ng mag ring na ang bell.
“So, I think we both heard the bell right?” at nagsisibalikan na sila sa kanilang classroom.
Julie was busy flashing back their moments a while ago at para siyang loka-loka na naglalakad sa hallway dahil bigla siyang ngumiti tapos poker face nanaman tapos ngiti ulit. Nang may biglang humarang sa harap niya. She turned up and it was Sam.
“Julie, I can’t let you go just because of misunderstandings. Meet me at the parking lot after your class. I’ll wait for you even after a decade.” Then Sam turned back.
Huuuhh? Ano nanaman kaya sasabihin alibi nito mamaya? Ughhh, ang dami ko ng iniisip naloloka na ako ang wrinkles ko. Natatawa na lang siya sa sarili niya.
Natapos na ang klase ni Julie at wala siyang naiintindihan kasi ang isip niya at ang mga senses niya ay nasa malayo. Hindi siya nakaconcentrate sa klase dahil kay Elmo at kay Sam. She picked her bag and books and walk towards the parking lot. Nandoon si Sam nakahilig sa kotse nito. At nang naramdamang paparating siya lumakad ito patungo sa kanya. They both stop and speechless at the same time.
Sam cleared his throat. “Julie, I want you back. Please believe me. Lauren did it first. She tempted me and—-“ hindi na natapos ni Sam ang sasabihin dahil tinakpan ng daliri ni Julie ang bibig nito.
“And do you think I’m dumb to believe those alibis Sam?”
“It’s the truth Julie.”
“We’re over Sam. And even if you are saying the truth I will not come back to you again.” Yumuko si Julie.
“Why, Julie? Do you like someone else kaya hindi ka na babalik sa `kin? Who’s this guy, Julie? Si Elmo ba?” si Sam anger in his eyes.
Hindi makapagsalita si Julie. Even she, can’t tell and what’s the name of her feelings. Hindi niya naintindihan dahil naninibago siya. She never felt it before. Her heart already shouted the name of it but she tried to deny it. She didn’t know.
“Julie, kaya ba nakipagbreak ka sa `kin dahil sa kanya at pinasa mo lang sa `kin ang kasalanan mo saying that I betrayed you when you’re the one who betrayed and ruined our relationship? You’re not but a b——“ hindi na natuloy dahil hinila na si Sam palayo sa kanya ni Elmo.
“Stop it right there. Don’t insult her for false accusations, Sam. I think you should refresh your mind.” Aambahin na sana ng suntok si Elmo ni Sam when Elmo glared at him. “I don’t like violence Sam.”

~Scene 4
Lux: Wow! That’s unusual! Your room is still clean! I’m impressed.
Lash: Still clean..? You came just the other day right?
Lux: I did, but you always make another mess right away!
Lash: Let’s go buy some food.
*On their way to the store Lash feels that there is someone staring at them. He looked at the trash damp.
Lux: Bro, why are you looking at the trash damp. Gross!
Lash: Gross? Hey.
Lux: I was surprised a while ago that your room is clean when I cleaned it two weeks ago. I expected it to be messy.
Lash: You cleaned it two weeks ago? I thought you cleaned it yesterday?
Lux: I cleaned the house two weeks ago. Oh wait I left my bag at the apartment go on ahead I’ll follow.
Lash: Okay… (Lux went back ahead) No way, she was the one who cleaned my room. No.. that’s not possible.
Landlady: Lash, did you saw sunny? (she was talking about her dog)
Lash: No, I didn’t. (then walk straight ahead)
Landlady: Hey I’m still talking
Lash: (Ignored her) It was her. It’s got to be her. That Lolita sneaked into my room and did it. Lux! She’s about to go to my apartment.
*quickly grabbed his phone and called her
Lux: big bro?
Lash: Don’t go near to my apartment!
Lux: Huh? But I’m already in front of your apartment I hired a taxi to make it quicker just stay there you don’t have money there didn’t you?
Lash: Is there a strange girl nearby?
Lux: Girl? Ah, is your girlfriend coming or something?
Lash: It’s not like that she might be dangerous. Don’t go to my apartment! Go home today!

Lux: Oh. Weird… it’s pitch black. No one’s here then? (turn on the light)
*The Lolita suddenly appears

*When Lux turned to her she saw her stabbing her legs by a fork.
Lux: Hey, What are you doing ?!
Girl: It’s your fault! Everything’s your fault!
Lux: My fault?
Girl: Yes! Chatting non-stop about your memories with him! Ah! Just thinking about it makes me angry! I can’t allow such a pig to be his little sister.
Lux: Pig?
Girl: You’re not a pig. You’re just a trash from the same place as him! You didn’t touch the soup I kindly made you! You’ve hurt my feelings! You’re so unkind, you’re a useless sister! That indecent way of talking! You only say bad things about him! You’re his sister but all you do is put him down. I wouldn’t say those things. I respect my brother so much. I love him very much. I am his number one little sister! LITTLE SISTER!
Lux: What are you talking about? You’re just a complete stranger to him. This is weird I am his little sister

Girl: hehe, don’t be embarrassed. We’re different to other siblings. We’re siblings that have spent many precious times together.
Lash: What is this?! I’ve never been with you.
Lux: Lash help me! She’s been acting strange since earlier.
Girl: (grabbed Lux’s hair) you’re the one who’s strange right?
Lux: Look brother!
Girl: This girl wet herself like a baby. And messed up your room. I can’t believe she showed something dirty to you.. I won’t forgive her for making you experience something disgusting! That’s why I’m going to clean up. This disgraceful girl! (about to kick Lux)
Lash: Stop!
Girl: Such a serious look.. My brother is really trying to stop me. For my sake!

Girl: You’re so kind brother. You’re trying so hard to stop me so I won’t do something dirty, right? It’s okay I’m not like her. If it’s for my brother then I can do anything, no matter how dirty. (Continued kicking Lux)
Lash: Lux! (kicked the girl) That’s enough if you go any further, I’ll really kill you.
*The stitch of the large wound of the girl’s wrist was cut and opened the wound.
Girl: It started to heal, but it’s open again… My brother gave me this injury. Hehehehe, I’m happy I’ve got another memory with my brother. My brother worried that he hurt me. I’m in his thoughts. Hey you can hurt me more then you’ll think of me even more! See! Open this wound even more! I’ll just sew it again. Big brother!

*(Midnight )On phone…*
Lux: Hey, big brother! Are you listening? Did you make sure to put out
Trash?
Lash:I did.
Lux: If there’s a smell, the landlady will get angry. I’ll be coming around to check sometime soon!.
Lash: Yeah, yeah. (covers the mouthpiece)jeez, mind your own business.. go find a boyfriend or something.
*Call Ended*
Lash suddenly stops walking when he saw a girl sitting amongst the garbage.
Lash: Who is she? What’s she doing sitting in a trash damp at night? What’s more she’s wearing a Lolita cosplay. She’s Creepy.Man, I won’t be able to go back without walking past her…I’ll ignore her it’s better if I don’t get involved! I’ll pretend not to see anything when I go past.
When Lash walking past her, the girl was really stinks and is all dirty. He saw a liquid underneath her but can’t really tell what it was because it was dark. The girl was full of wounds and scars he even saw a large wound on her wrist that looks like she slashed it on her own.
Lash: She’s dangerous I’ve got to hurry.
Girl: Hey.. Do you have a younger sister?
Lash: (turned to the girl) Me? I do. (then walks back to his apartment quickly.)
He went back to his apartment and when he looked out the window, the girl was gone.
~Scene 2
..
Lash: Ah, Shoot! The trash has piled up! Why do I keep forgetting to take it out in the morning? I can’t go back to sleep.
(Grabbed the garbage and went out)
Lash: It’s her! She’s here again?! What the hell is she doing? I’ll just throw it away and hurry back!
*Throws
Girl: Owwww.
Lash: What?! Did she fall over because I threw the trash? I’m sure I didn’t throw it that hard. S-sorry.
Girl: My precious Hester is dirty.
Lash: Hester?
Girl: He’s important.. He’s not supposed to get dirty.
Lash: It’s your fault for being here! (quickly went back to his apartment) That’s just creepy what did she mean “he’s not supposed to get dirty”? it was dirty from the start! Making accusations like that.
*He was about to close the door when someone was trying to open the door.
Lash: What is it?!
Girl: Hey look.. He wouldn’t come clean when I wiped him.. (shows the stuff toy) Let me wash him.
Lash: Huh? (unexpectedly released the knob because of shock) Hey don’t come in without permission.
Girl: What are you talking about? You got my precious Hester dirty! He likes being clean! Getting dirty made him stressed, so he’s screaming.
Lash: Hey stop! Don’t shout so loud at night! I get it you can use the washroom.
Girl: Thank you, you’re so kind..(started to wash the stuff toy)
Lash: Ugh.. it stinks what is that liquid?
Girl: (talking to Hester) Does that feel good? That’s right. You’re happy… Hehehe.
~Scene 3
Morning… at the park
Lash: It was terrible. It took me until morning to clean up the mess that Lolita woman made!
Brick: Lolital?! Are you serious?! I really wanna see!
Chance: Who was she?
Lash: Dunno… She was one crazy girl!
Chance: If she’s such a peculiar person, then she might have some other troubles.
Brick: Call me next time she comes! I’ll keep her company!
Lash: You…. Ah this is pissing me off! Let’s go to karaoke on the way home and get some drinks!
*On Lash’s way home he suddenly heard the two girls talking…
Girl 1: Have you heard of that urban legend?
Girl 2: The story of “The Strange Lolita”!
Girl 1: At midnight, a girl dressed in lolita appears and asks a question.
*On the other hand at Lash’s apartment
Girl: Excuse me, Lash Davis from room 201 is my brother… I forgot my key.. Could you lend me one?

*Lash went back to his room and notice that it was tidy he thought that maybe it her sister, Lux came there and clean things up. He slept.
Girl: (Watching Lash sleeping) You are kind. I’ve found my brother.
